BRIAN HOLLINGSWORTH
MS, MDIV, LCMHC, NCC
Brian is a Licensed Clinical Mental Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). He earned a Master of Science in Counseling at UNC-Greensboro, and also holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv.) from Wake Forest University School of Divinity.
Brian works primarily with adults, with areas of focus including life transitions, identity development, grief & loss, work/life balance, stress, and anxiety. He is especially passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, healthcare workers, young/emerging adults, as well as clients experiencing conflicted or challenged belief systems, and religious pain or trauma. As a dually trained clinician, Brian is able to incorporate a client’s spiritual belief system(s) into the therapeutic work should they desire to do so.
Outside of counseling, Brian’s professional experience includes working as a hospital chaplain, providing crisis management support to college students, and six years as a camp and retreats director.
