She currently holds dual licenses, one as a License of Social Work and the other, a License of Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate. She has been practicing in the field of clinical social work for over 9 years in community, residential detox facilities and outpatient settings. Prior to her counseling career, Anna was in the medical field for 9 years before making the transition to clinical social work. Her experience ranges from high-risk crisis management and dual diagnosis direct treatment to comprehensive assessments and integrative case management.
Anna integrates evidence-based practice models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Seeking Safety, and offers support for disenfranchised grief, compassion fatigue, career counseling & trauma related treatment as indicated for the individual. She has completed intensive specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy from Behavioral Tech, an intensive course founded by Dr. Marsha Linehan who is the formulator of DBT. Due to her experience with DBT, there are options of engaging in the full DBT-model and DBT-modified treatment (this option will be discussed, if appropriate).
Anna is currently accepting LCSWA’s for supervision.
When Anna is not providing therapy, she is likely to be found surrounded by her animal family (one of whom is a retired therapy dog), gardening, yoga, kayaking and spending time with loved ones and friends, and of course being mindful!
